Job Description
Elizabethtown College is currently seeking an individual with research experience to serve as Director of Research. The incumbent will serve as a member of the Major Gifts team and support the fundraising goals of the College. The Director will identify, research, and present information on major gift prospects, including individuals, corporations, and foundations. Proactively identifying new prospects, prioritizing the Presidents and Vice President for Institutional Advancements fundraising visits, and monitoring progress toward campaign goals are essential functions of this position.
A strong work ethic, personal initiative, and self-direction is necessary. The ideal candidate will have an awareness of fundraising strategies and activities in higher education, demonstrated analytical and organizational skills, and proficiency with electronic research sources and databases. A bachelors degree and five to ten years of advancement experience, preferably within higher education, is required.
